Caverns and Canaries was conceptualized while Alex was proctoring an SAT test and was limited to a pencil, paper, and his imagination. Having always wanted to make a board game, he decided it was time to make this dream a reality. As a product of his brainstorm, the game later took shape with any materials he could find, which were mainly assorted pieces of cardboard and scratch paper.
With his finite artistic abilities, he later embarked on designing pieces that would look less like recycling material, and more like an actual board game. Years passed, and his designs were eventually materialized and produced for game play.
Even more years passed, and Alex met an amazing woman named Rachel (and her cute cat named Nova). Little did Alex know, Rachel is a graphic designer!
Since then, time has passed, and Rachel is quickly approaching the final steps in her artwork for Caverns and Canaries!
We will be on Kickstarter soon, but follow us on social media to stay in the loop on this progress!
